Endurance race strategy
The pit wall tool for endurance racing: live timing, the fuel model, the pit window, stint and driving-time limits — on one screen you can read from across a pit box.
Reads the ONE TIMING feed as the race runs. Lap times, sectors, track state and driver changes arrive without anyone retyping them.
Two plans compared: the latest you can stay out on fuel and stint limits, against the ideal stop planned back from the flag.
Per-driver consumption, caution laps at caution burn, splash calculations, and what you must save per lap to reach the flag.
Per driver and continuous, against the regulations for the event, with the stint clock showing what it totals if you box now or a lap later.
Under a full course yellow the sums change. Stint times and the pit-entry countdown switch to caution pace as it happens, not a lap late.
One command afterwards: every lap, stint, stop and driver, as a printable PDF for the debrief and the archive.
Undercut grew out of a strategy workbook used in real races for years. Every calculation is tested against that workbook's own cached results — all 25 computed columns of the lap table, every lap. Where it differs, it is because the sheet was wrong, and each of those is written down.
It starts without a network, needs nothing installed on the day, and keeps working if the timing feed or the internet goes away mid-session. A pit wall is not the place to discover a dependency.
Undercut is in testing with a small number of teams, and is not generally available yet. If you run an endurance programme and would like to try it, write and tell me about it — the series, the car, how you plan your stops. I will send you a licence key and the installer.
The installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows will show a “Windows protected your PC” notice the first time you run it. Choose More info, then Run anyway. That warning is about a certificate I have not bought yet, not about anything the installer does.
